Dr. Leckbands's research is in the areas of Materials, Interfacial,
and Bio.
Our work focuses on
engineering the biology/material interface. We are exploring
how the surface properties of materials influence their interactions
with proteins, living cells, and tissues. We are using this
information to establish engineering design rules for bioadhesives,
implants and drug delivery agents, and biosensors.
