A maximum of 10 total hours of undergraduate research may be counted toward Technical Elective credit.
Those courses approved as technical electives are listed below. Courses other than those listed will not normally be accepted as technical electives (see Notes below). Any exceptions must be approved by the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. A student requesting an exception must submit a petition to the Department. Go to 209 RAL to obtain a petition form, fill it out, have your advisor sign it, and submit it.
Aerospace Engineering: all 300- and 400-level courses, except 395, 396, 397, and 497.
Agricultural and Biological Engineering: 436, 440, 483, 489, and 498.
Biochemistry: 455
